After much consideration, it is our honor to announce the Student of the Month for May. Please join me in congratulating Fifth Grader, Stasa Stanojevic!

Stasa’s Fifth Grade teacher, Mrs. Kurz, nominated her for this award because “She is a hardworking, conscientious student who has received straight A’s all year. She loves to read and reading is one of her strongest subjects. Stasa is in the LEAP program and a member of both the Student Council and Chorus. One of Stasa’s best attributes is her compassion. She never hesitates to help other students, without even having to be asked. Students often look to her for help because she is a successful student and treats everyone with respect. She frequently surprises her teacher by doing tasks without being asked as well.” These are all such important qualities that make Stasa so deserving of the honor of Student of the Month.

Stasa credits her parents for being the ultimate role models, inspiring her to be her best and instilling the importance of kindness and learning from mistakes. She has been a student at Lindbergh since Second grade. When asked about her favorite thing about this school, Stasa replied, “how kind everyone is!” When she’s not in school, Stasa is involved in contemporary dance, jazz, ballet and acro. One of her goals is to be a professional dancer. Stasa also loves to travel and has been very fortunate to visit several countries that have given her the opportunity to be exposed to many different cultures and languages. She has a favorite place to visit and that is Serbia.

Stasa, we know that if you continue to work hard, you will accomplish anything you put your mind to- the world is your stage!

Congratulations on this deserving honor. We, here at Lindbergh School, are SO proud of you!

And if you happen to see Stasa in the hallway, make sure you say “Hi!” and congratulate her on the accomplishment of being Lindbergh’s Student of the Month for May.
