A Message from the Principal
The end of the school year is quickly approaching. It is hard to believe that summer is on the way. I continue to be proud of the progress that our students have made throughout the year.
During the month of May, students and staff once again successfully participated in the NJSLA formally the PARCC test. The tests went smoothly with a minimum of problems. The entire school community anxiously awaits the results. I will continue to keep you informed.
Students participated in many exciting events this school year. Assemblies, concerts, field day, book fair, Read Across America, and class trips were just a few. Lastly, students participated in the Student Council Walk-A-Thon, Talent Show, Vocabulary Parade, and the Torch Run sponsored by the Palisades Park Police.
Teachers continued to engage in professional development opportunities to stay on top of the latest instructional strategies to enhance student learning. Teachers attended both outside and in-house workshops throughout the year. They learned at grade level, department level, on-line, and through the Professional Learning Community. Some of our teachers will also attend professional development in the summer.
Our 6th grade students will graduate on Thursday, June 20st. I know that they have many fond memories of their time spent at Lindbergh Elementary School. The entire school community wishes them the best of luck as they embark upon the next step on their educational journey.
Summer is a great time to relax and unwind, but student learning should not come to a complete stop. Please have your child complete the summer reading and writing project. Don’t forget about math. Summer is a great time to reinforce math facts. Our goal is to have your child continue to make progress!
Have a safe and happy summer.
