A Message from the Principal
The end of the school year is quickly approaching with the last day on Wednesday, June 17th. It is hard to believe that summer is on the way. I continue to be proud of the progress that our students have made throughout the year, even during the period of distance learning.
Since March 16th, when we had to close the school building and transition to distance learning, our students and teachers continued to prove that teaching and learning could take place in many environments. Everyone worked hard to provide your children with the best educational experience possible during these unprecedented times. I applaud our parents for working so hard to assist their children during the remote learning phase. It was a true model of the home –school partnership. We could not have achieved all we did without working together! This difficult situation has made all of us better prepared to face and overcome the unexpected obstacles of life.
We congratulate our 6th grade students on their graduation. I know that they have many fond memories of their time spent at Lindbergh Elementary School. The entire school community wishes them the best of luck as they embark upon the next step on their educational journey.
In spite of the difficult months we have all experienced during the Covid-19 Pandemic, it is time celebrate the end of the school year. Summer is a great time to relax and unwind, but student learning should not come to a complete stop. Please have your child complete the summer reading and writing project. Don’t forget about math. Summer is a great time to reinforce math facts. Our goal is to have your child continue to make progress!
Have a safe and happy summer!
Toni Bongard, Principal
