PPHS Multilingual Learners Visit the Statue of Liberty May 14th, 2024
Palisades Park High School multilingual learners ventured on an exciting trip to the Statue of Liberty this week! Sporting their Palisades Park “Multilingual Strong” shirts, our students visited the beautiful park and grounds of Liberty Island, the Statue of Liberty Museum, and America’s most iconic symbol of promise and possibility, Lady Liberty herself. Students were also treated to breathtaking views of New York Harbor and Ellis Island as they cruised along on the ferry. It was an unforgettable experience for all!
Lindbergh Multilingual Parent Resource Night - May 2, 2024
The Multilingual Education Department at Lindbergh hosted a Multilingual Parent Resource
Night on May 2, 2024. The purpose of the event was to assist parents in utilizing the distributed
home engagement kits for reading and math with their children to improve their learning at
home. The department provided parents with learning resources and refreshments to make the
evening enjoyable. The event was a huge success, with approximately 100 people in
attendance. We express our gratitude to the Lindbergh Multilingual Education Department for
organizing such a wonderful event.
PPHS Bilingual Parent Night
February 22, 2024: Palisades Park High School (PPHS) held an informative session for bilingual parents about the school's Genesis platform, the ESL/World Language program, and Special Education. We would like to thank everyone who attended the event, including the PPEA committee, the Pride committee, the Palisades Park Multilingual Learner committee, and the students who volunteered to assist with the event.
NJ Seal of Biliteracy Recipients 2023-2024
Congratulations!
The NJ Seal of Biliteracy is a special recognition awarded by the New Jersey Department of Education to celebrate graduating high school students who have successfully demonstrated a high level of proficiency in speaking, reading, listening, and writing in one or more world languages, in addition to English. The State Seal of Biliteracy is an initiative that aims to promote the study of world languages in schools while also celebrating the diverse cultures and languages present in the Palisades Park community. Congratulations to the twenty juniors and seniors awarded the NJ State Seal of Biliteracy for the 2023-2024 academic year for demonstrating proficiency in English, Spanish, Italian, and Korean.Special thanks to the world language teachers for their support and instruction!

ECC Bilingual Parent Workshop, November 17, 2023
The Bilingual/ESL Dept. held an informational session for the parents of multilingual learners to provide useful home strategies for kindergarten, school protocols, learning expectations, helpful tactics, and more. Thank you, Mrs. Padron, Mrs. Rodas, and Mrs. Nova, for providing practical tools for our Spanish-speaking families. Thanks to all our families for their time and effort in attending our workshop!
